Authentic Alum Stone (non-agglomerated)

“Our pure A+ grade alum comes from our Panama branch, a manufacturer of the genuine alum stones for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Below is a list of various available formats, prepared and shaped for PRIVATE LABEL using grade A+ potassium alum marketed under the brand KALUNITE™.”

Discover the Grade A+ selected transparent alum stone, also known as Kalunite™, the purest in the world and 100% approved by Ecocert Cosmos Natural. This active mineral is widely used in various cosmetic products such as deodorants, soaps, aftershave treatments, shampoos, and creams. Recognizable by its marbled and slightly transparent appearance, it embodies purity in its most natural form. In Cleopatra’s Kosmetikon, we were already told about transparent alum crystals that were appreciated in cosmetics.

Effective Mineral Odor Protection

The mineral alum stone is far from being an ordinary, conventional deodorant stick. Unlike products that merely mask odors with heavy fragrances or clog pores with strong aluminum compounds, the mineral alum stone, derived from the natural Kalunite™ potassium alum, takes a proactive approach. It prevents odor before it even occurs by inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria.

Mineral deodorants offer 24-hour odor protection without relying on synthetic ingredients or chemical agents. The unique crystal formula of Kalunite™ ensures that the deodorant leaves the skin feeling clean and goes on clear, without leaving behind any white streaks, oily residue, or causing irritation.

It is a natural choice for those seeking an effective and skin-friendly deodorant alternative.

Low pH - The key for more efficacy

Throughout our 40 years of expertise in sourcing and selecting potassium alum, we have made an intriguing discovery. Ordinary potassium alum crystals tend to form in a chaotic or anarchic manner. However, in the heart of the mineral, a remarkable phenomenon occurs: the alum grows with a precise geometrical pyramidal angle of 52 degrees, resembling the famous pyramid of Keops. We have given this perfect formation a name: Kalunite™.

Furthermore, we have conducted extensive tests and found that the pH of Kalunite™ is at its lowest level, measuring pH 3.0. This heightened acidity enhances the antibacterial properties of the mineral and can potentially have a positive impact on its efficacy as a body deodorant.

How many qualities of alum stone are available?

There are various types of alum, including iron alum, chromium alum, sodium alum, ammonium alum, and potassium alum. However, in the cosmetic industry, potassium alum stands out as the only alum recognized as 100% of natural origin and accepted by Ecocert Cosmos Natural. It is important to note that the market offers different qualities and forms of potassium alum.

The acidic value of potassium alum stone typically ranges between 3.0 to 3.5. At Verdan, we exclusively offer the finest part of potassium alum, which is the heart of the crystal. This portion is the purest and with a pH value of 3.0. Additionally, it is free of aluminum hydroxisulfate, ensuring a high-quality product.

Grade A+

Our best alum is the one selected of Grade A+ quality. It is extracted from the very heart of the crystal where the alum block is purest. It is recognized by its  transparent aspect. Its level of translucency is 20>5 according to our scale.

Grade B+

Opaque alum. It is characterized by an aggregate of alum having an opaque mass appearance with a level of translucency of 4>1. It may contain impurities.

Grade C+

Raw alum, residue from the base of the block, is distinguished by its lower purity, its white appearance, and its complete lack of translucency. This is the most basic part of alum and can contain numerous impurities.
